The name Noosa came from the Aboriginal word meaning “shadows” or “shade” – this is most likely a reference to the tall forests in the area that offer shade from the sun. The Kabi Kabi tribe had been visiting the Noosa area for 40,000 years before Europeans first arrived in the 1800s. Noosaville is now an extremely popular place to live and holiday. It combines a superb sense of peace with an excellent number of amenities and lifestyle activities.
