SUNSHINE BEACH FOR BUYERS

Known for its long stretch of white sand and idyllic surf breaks, Sunshine Beach offers a quiet and laid back setting just minutes from Noosa. Sought-after by ocean lovers, families and retirees alike, it has a small, yet vibrant village centre complete with a choice of cafes and restaurants. Sunshine Beach is the perfect suburb for those who want to be close to all that Noosa has to offer, without being right in the middle of it.

HISTORY AND CULTURE

The area south of Noosa Headlands was formerly known as Golden Beach. It was first acquired in 1929 by Thomas Marcus Burke in exchange for building roads and bridges from Tewantin. It was later discovered that Golden Beach was already in use somewhere else so the area was renamed as Sunshine Beach. Today, Sunshine Beach is loved by both local families and holiday goers for its relaxed feel and great surf conditions.
