About Sunshine Coast Open House

Sunshine Coast Open House is a free annual event offering rare behind-the-scenes access to some of the Sunshine Coast and Noosa’s best buildings.

This year, the event will take place on Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October 2025, spanning from Caloundra to Cooran, including the vibrant Hinterland communities.

Founded in 2017 by Sunshine Coast Council, Noosa Council, and the Australian Institute of Architects (Sunshine Coast Committee), Sunshine Coast Open House invites the public to explore and appreciate the diversity, sustainability, and heritage of our region’s built environment.

As part of the Open House Worldwide network, the event connects the Sunshine Coast to a global community committed to promoting well-designed spaces and inspiring future generations.

Maria’s Role and Contribution

As the Owner and Director of The Property Baron, based in Peregian Beach, Maria combines a love for property with a strong passion for design. Her work as a buyers agent on the Sunshine Coast and in Noosa has given her the privilege of stepping into some of the region’s most remarkable homes — from architectural masterpieces to beautifully restored heritage properties.
